HISTORY
The rumble of engines. The smell of fuel and burnt rubber in the air.
The ultimate thrill of motorsports is the speed, danger, and precision involved. It can be incredibly scary when you’re behind the wheel.
For Mechanical Engineer and Machinist, and Race Car driver Mal Kneale, chasing that exhilarating feeling has been a lifetime pursuit.
Inspired by motorcycle racers such as Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, and of course John Surtees (a world champion on two and four wheels), Mal Kneale is a passionate advocate of historic racing.
Today he drives a fully restored Brabham BT15, which is available for appearances at your next event! When it comes to classic racing cars, Mal Kneale is ready to answer the call.
RESTORATION PROCESS
A lot of effort went into tracking down a Brabham BT15 (1965-1966) and making it track-ready once again. Vintage Racing Motors Inc. in Redmond, Washington, did an excellent job restoring the vehicle. And they continue to champion Mal Kneale’s efforts on the historic racing circuit. The Brabham BT15 is a unique and historically significant Formula 3 race car that is always exciting to watch. It is a testament to the era’s innovative mechanical engineering and unique designs.
